A few months ago I sat down to watch a new video series on the Catholic faith. To say I was impressed is an understatement – I binge watched all seven videos of The Search. The Search is an innovative video series that tackles the key questions of every human heart. In seven beautifully filmed episodes, Chris Stefanick and experts from multiple fields of science, medicine, psychology, art, and religion examine our place in the larger story of existence. Holy Redeemer Parish has an account with Formed.org that enables our parishioners to access The Search for free.
So this is the deal. Every Lent you are encouraged to join a small faith sharing group, to read a good Catholic book, share your faith journey with others, and let them share theirs with you. This year we’ll be watching The Search video series instead of reading a book, and meeting online instead of in person. Because of the internet nature of all this, it means that you can share this video series with others too. The Search is a fantastic video series for everyone, and especially for non-practicing Catholics, and non-Catholic family and friends. This Lent, please sign up for a small faith sharing group, either hosted by the parish, or you can host your own group with family members near and far. This would be a fantastic way to help others who don’t understand the faith to get it.

How will Small Groups Work?
Those participating will watch the videos in their own time then meet with their small group via zoom once per week.
Small groups will begin the week of February 14.
How Do I Access the Videos?
The videos are free with a Formed online streaming account. Holy Redeemer pays for a subscription so that we can offer this service to our parishioners for free. You can get your free account by:
Go to Formed.org
Click “Sign Up” then “Sign up as a parishioner”
Search “Holy Redeemer Church Vancouver”
After hitting “Next” submit your information as prompted
Once you have set up your account, The Search may be featured on the home page, OR you can find it by going to the “Programs” tab, and click on “Faith Formation”
