Young Adult:  Supper with the Saints

Next Supper with the Saints:  July 14, 2017 at 5:30 PM

Meet us at Holy Redeemer at 5:30pm on scheduled Fridays, and we will start our evening with some time in prayer and Adoration.  Let us celebrate and give thanksgiving for the gift of the Lord's presence in this beautiful sacrament!  Afterwards, we will go out to dinner at a local restaurant and spend some time in fellowship to get to know other young adults in the Vancouver area.

Supper with the Saints happens on scheduled Friday evenings once a month.  If you can't make it this month, make sure to keep an eye out for our next evening in prayer, adoration, and fellowship!

Young Adult Gatherings

Come to our young adult gatherings on Wednesdays to grow in fellowship and faith as we pray together and discuss.
Meetings are in the Upper Room in the Annex (Go upstairs and take a left) at 6:00pm.

New Summer Series Starting June 28
During the summer, we will be doing a study by Christopher West called "Freedom to Love."  During this study we will be discussing with other young adults the Theology of the Body and why it is so important in today's society.

What is freedom? The world tells us that freedom is the ability to do what you want, whenever you want, with whomever you want. But has this led to strong relationships, strong families, or strong communities? In reality, since the days of the “sexual revolution,” the exact opposite has played out. Every day we see rampant sexual chaos, exploitation, broken families, and a lot of pain—all as a result of an abuse and misunderstanding of freedom.

Recognizing the world’s confusion, St. John Paul II offered the Theology of the Body (TOB) lectures—which together present a profound message of love and human sexuality. He turned the prevailing false notion of freedom on its head, declaring that true freedom is selfless rather than selfish. He taught that freedom exists for the sake of love, and that authentic freedom always asks “What is the good of the other person?” not “What’s in it for me?”

If you would like to participate in this study, please RSVP to Annie or via the Facebook Event Page so the appropriate amount materials may be prepared.

Meetings for this
study are on:

June 28, July 12,
July 19, July 26,
August 2

All meetings are at 6:00 p.m. in the annex (the green house across the parking lot from the parish center)r.
